CEO, Revolut Europe

Joe Heneghan is CEO of Revolut Europe, which has 12m retail and business customers. Revolut Bank now offers banking services in 15 EU markets and continues to roll out these services across the EEA.
Under Joe’s leadership, Revolut has tripled its customer numbers in Ireland to more than 1.5m. Revolut was also the first provider in the Republic to launch instant peer-to-peer payments, Open Banking and Europe-wide SEPA Instant payments to the mass market.

Joe has 25 years’ experience in financial services and is a member of the ECB’s European Retail Payments Board, as well as being a board member of Financial Services Ireland. Prior to joining Revolut in 2019, he spent 14 years at Ulster Bank in various senior roles and previously worked at First Active and Permanent TSB.
