Paul Sweetman

Director, Financial Services Ireland, Ibec


Paul is Director of Financial Services Ireland, the Ibec group that represents the financial services sector. Previous Ibec roles include Director of Technology Ireland, Head of Transport Policy and Environment Policy Executive. Paul also served as a board member of Digital Europe and FIT.

Paul is a Chartered Engineer, holding a bachelors in engineering from UCD and a masters in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech, USA. Additionally, he holds a Professional Certificate in Governance from the Institute of Public Administration and has completed leadership programmes at TU Dublin and Oxford University.

Paul is a current board member of Gaisce-The President’s Award.
